Sailing has begun at the Sparks marina!

SNCS is off to a great season of sailing. We started our adult sailing lessons on Saturday 6/7/08 and as you can see from these photos the new sailors are having a ball. This year we are training on Saturdays only so we have more time for teaching the fundamentals of Dinghy sailing. We are fortunate to have first rate certified instructors to conduct the training which will last for 6 Saturdays. This year we are proud to be apart of an Adaptive Sailing program that will give the handicapped a chance to learn the thrill of sailing. So far we have two adaptive 3.2 boats and are just getting started with that program also. These 3.2's will not capsize and will not sink even if the cockpit fills with chest deep water. The sail design and a heavy center board is the reason. So enjoy these first photos of sailors doing their thing and above all JOIN us for a fun filled summer. We will have more photos of the adaptive program once it gets under way. I think this program will blow you away as it has all of us in SNCS
