Adult Sailing

Sail with us this summer for a great time. Complete U.S. Sailing-based instruction for all levels, beginner to advanced including boats, safety gear, course materials and a terrific venue for you to learn or to just improve your skills. For information on adult sailing lessons please click here.

Youth Sailing

Kids love to sail. We offer lessons for all levels of experience, starting at age 10 and up through high school. It's never too soon to start and never too late to improve skills. Younger kids learn in their Pico and Laser sailboat while older kids sail the Catalina 14.2 or Coronado 15 sailboat. Experienced sailors over 16 may qualify to train as instructors.
Younger kids, 7 to 10 years, can arrange private lessons in our "Access" dinghies. Click on our Adaptive Sailing link for more info, or to view a schedule.

Private Lessons

For those who want to learn at a faster or slower pace from the group lessons or who need more personal attention, we also offer private lessons. These can be taught in an assortment of different types of boats from keelboats to dinghies and even catamarans. It all depends upon your preference. Please click here for information about private lessons.

For Your Group

From businesses to scouts to church organizations, we offer specially tailored programs to meet the needs of your employees or members. Regardless of how many or what type of group you have or belong to, we will make sure that you get the sailing experience that fits your desires. Please click here for information about special sessions created especially for your organization.

Adaptive Sailing Lessons

Are offered by Sierra Nevada Community Sailing at Sparks Marina from June through August 2010 on a limited basis. This will be our third year offering adaptive sailing. We have five Access 2.3 two-seat dinghies to sail as well as a working association with the Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors (BAADS).

Ahoy, you water rats!! Wake up all you hibernating sailors! Time to start thinking about boats and warm summer evenings and racing and lots of fun!
