It's time to plan for a summer of sailing fun.
Youth ages 10-17 are encouraged to register for our 2 week summer camps where they will learn basic sailing through introductory racing skills.
Additionally we have 2-week intermediate summer camp for youth that want to continue building their sailing skills.
Adults have an opportunity to register for 5-week sessions where they will learn basic to advanced sailing skills. Anyone with a disability may contact us for more information on our Adaptive Sailing program. We offer individual and group lessons on a limited basis for people with disabilities.
We supply instructors, boats, gear and a terrific sailing venue. You
have fun while you learn or improve your skills.
Sierra Nevada Community Sailing is Nevada's first and only non-profit
educational community sailing program, and is a member of U.S. Sailing.
Welcome aboard!

Sierra Nevada Community Sailing
We are a volunteer-based, non-profit educational charity.
Our mission is to teach sailing skills to youth and adults of all abilities. Students will learn water safety, boat-handling skills, and improve self-confidence and responsibility.
Sierra Nevada Community Sailing is funded by donations from the community and by the fees we charge to those who can afford to pay for lessons and boat use.
Our sister company, Nevada Boating, leases and manages our private dock on the east side of the Sparks Marina, and donates 100% of all profits to Sierra Nevada Community Sailing.
We are partners with the City of Sparks Recreation Department but receive no governmental funding.
All revenues of Sierra Nevada Community Sailing are used solely for our teaching programs and to maintain our boats and equipment.
We accept donations of boats, boat trailers and boating equipment that can be used in or to further our programs.
